So it turns out, reading your words out loud can be kind of terrifying.
Especially blush-inducing ones about heatwaves ones underpants.
Yes. I said that out loud in the Bowen Island Public Library this past weekend. (Remember in the book, when Elli's driving Fergal to the coffee place?)
And yes, it made me giggle.
Fortunately, other people laughed too.
And I so I just moved along, on to another sentence from my characters mouths, to the room.
I kept going.
I turned another page.
